I'm a big fan of personal and business development. The concept of building something out of nothing is a big driver for me.
On the personal side, building and developing my business skills, learning how to schedule my time more effectively, and becoming the person I need to be to reach my goals is the first step.
A large part of that is surrounding myself with people from whom I can learn and who push me to become a better version of myself.
If I want to become better at rock climbing, I hang out with people who climb harder problems than me. If I want to get better at Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, I go to the gym. If I want to improve in real estate development, I hang out with developers. That's why I went to lunch with the team from Elevate Living last week to discuss some of the exciting projects they have underway in Welland and throughout Niagara. From starting a REIT to developing medium-rise buildings and subdivisions, it's amazing to see what they have accomplished so far.
We are exploring several different opportunities here. From infill development to blocks of townhomes, there are still some excellent opportunities in the Niagara Region. While development is sensitive to interest rates, we are truly excited to participate in the long-term trends of population growth and the future of real estate here in Niagara with our partners. We are actively looking for like-minded individuals who are interested in working alongside us.
